Queen Elizabeth
Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most popular tourist destinations, renowned for its diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands. These diverse habitats make the park ideal for a classic safari experience and support a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, leopards, and chimpanzees. The park is also famous for its volcanic features, such as the Katwe explosion craters and the beautiful crater lakes. Birdwatchers will be thrilled by the variety of bird species present, with over 600 recorded.
The Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George, is a prime location for boat safaris.
