Uganda is a multi-cultural country made up of at least 53 ethnic groups. The most dominant ethnic groups are the Baganda found in the central region, Basoga in south eastern, Bagisu in mid-eastern, and the Itesot in the far east. The Karamojong are found in extreme northeast while the Acholi occupy north of the country. The Banyankole are found in western Uganda.
